I started writing technical articles in 2005 in response to repair work I found in the mechanisms I brought in from Europe. My early articles discussed a novel approach some folks use to get long duration clocks to run, followed by one discussing the over-reliance on rebushing everything that ticks - these, and several other articles can be found under the Technical tab - under "Articles". Then, in 2009 I started writing a series of articles for the NAWCC Bulletin - my Tid-Bits. These articles are meant to address both the problems I see created by repair folk in the mechanisms I restore, as well as to address techniques taught in the NAWCC Field Suitcase courses that damage nicer mechanisms, like those in Vienna Regulators. It is gratifying that techniques described in my Tid-Bits are now being incorporated in revamped field suitcase workshops. I have created this gallery to share some of the kind comments sent in by people attending my webinars and reading my technical articles.
