VR-535 3 Weight Becker with Art-Deco Trim
This mechanism cleaned up exceptionally well – the pivots were in surprisingly good condition and burnished very nicely. I was surprised to find 2 features I had not previously seen on Becker mechanism. One is the small wedges of brass that are used to stop/dampen the strike hammers, the other a roller between the plates to the lower left (when looking at the front of the mechanism) side of the mechanism. The roller is apparently there to deflect the weight line so it will not foul the pulley stop.
