VR-347 - Stunning Small Viennese Timepiece
Every time I take apart a Viennese mechanism my first focus is to discover what the maker did that sets his mechanisms apart from the norm. Given, Viennese mechanisms from the 1800’s are amongst the finest in the world – both because of the quality of the work and the reality that they are hand-made. But, often there is that little something that a maker sneaks in to put his mark on his work.

Here is a shot of the parts that make up the mechanism. I have already put the dial together, reblued the hands and all the screws and small steel bits (the stuff in the aluminum foil boat), polished the plates, restored all the pivots, and generally gotten this little gem ready to put together.
