VR-419 Miniature Viennese Timepiece by Kappel C

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the miniature regulators made by the Viennese - this little gem pretty much epitomizes why. The mechanism is so wonderfully small, and perfectly executed, reflecting the training the early Viennese received from Swiss watchmakers. The small dial and pendulum bob (brass backed of course) so much smaller than the typical, I especially like the smaller bits on the pendulum rod – the crutch pin slot – perfectly sized for such a small rod – and clearly has been there for a long time.
