VR-332 Stunning Biedermeier Month Runner in Ash
While the world is full of mahogany-veneered Vienna Regulators, how often do you see one in ash? Rare - of the 600 or so I have bought, I have seen 3. I think of these clocks as being grained in various shades of honey – I can only hope you can tell by looking at the pictures how truly stunning this piece is in the flesh.
I especially like this piece because of the beautifully executed bits of trim, and their striking contrast with the rectilinear simplicity of the case. When combined with the extravagance of the pie-crust bezel the case provides an appropriate enclosure for the Viennese month-duration movement. Wander through this gallery, and then ask yourself – “Why didn’t I buy this clock”?
