VR-316 Month duration Dachluhren
A very fine Month-duration Dachluhren by Franz Posch in Wien. Claterbos tells us that Franz achieved master status in 1832, and dies in 1844. This piece will be absolutely stunning when cleaned up. The mechanism is everything you would hope for in a Viennese time piece - absolutely perfect. With its exquisite hands, milk-glass dial, metal pendulum rod (note the detailed shots - I have never before seen as wonderful a rod - ok, a little tarnish and oxidation, but it will clean up to be perfect. And look at the brass inset crutch hole, and the wonderful hanger bracket on the end. I fear most of the shots of this piece come from when I bought it years ago, digital cameras just didn't have great resolution then.
If you are looking for a classical Dachluhren, realizing that month runners are just so rare and desirable - you should give this one serious consideration. 41 inches long by 11.75 inches wide at widest part of top.
