VR-363 - A stunning mechanism from Graz
My research is showing that there was obviously a very talented master clock maker in Graz who, unfettered by the constraints of the Vienna guild, created a novel, unusual, truly fantastic style of Viennese Regulator mechanism. While there are a number of features that distinguish these mechanisms from those made in Vienna - the most distinctive are the very large gears in the strike trains (which eliminate one of hte gears in the Viennese trains) and the unusual, skelatonized fans.
